Hey Guys,

The following is an update from Brandi Hodges (she attends Passion Community Church and taught 1st grade here last year) on the family that was hit in the McDonald's parking lot yesterday. Scott and I know Paul from church planning conferences through the Stone Mountain Baptist Association. The Casolas are such a wonderful family and we are still in shock over this news. Please add them to your church prayer chain.

Thanks,

Angie Bogle (Oak Hill Elementary School Secretary)

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Our Pastor's family was involved in an accident yesterday afternoon.

Please pass this on to any prayer warriors that you know.

Brandi

There was an accident at our local McDonald's in Covington. Stephanie Casola (wife of Paul - the pastor at Passion), their two sons, Isaac and Jacob along with Anita (Stephanie's sister) and her daughter Avery were hit by a man in the parking lot as they were walking to their car. The man smiled at them as he was going to pull into the parking space he then turned the wheel towards them and floored it. The man ran over them forward and backwards several times before leaving. The police caught him just down the road. His name is Lanny Barnes age 36 and Stephanine did not recognize him.

Stephanie is in stable condition at Grady with a broken foot, a laceration on her right side and a lot of road rash. Stephanine is in a lot of pain this morning and is having nightmares when she does rest. The boys are both at Scottish Rite in stable condition, Jake, 4 has a couple of broken bones. Isaac, 3 has a punctured lung, and a tear in his liver, the doctors say that both should heal on its own without surgery. Doctors are watching them closely for internal bleeding but so far there isn't any. Anita has been released from the hospital with a broken bone to be with her daughter, Avery, 18 months old is in critical condition. She has severe swelling around the brain and some bleeding around the brain as well.

Please lift this family up in prayers. Please pass this on so that we can have as many people as possible praying for them! Thanks!
